These are some of the coolest folks I have met in my years in ministry. They are pretty much what it was for Hannah and I during our Revolution days. They are humble and determined to rise above the crap that has been thrown at them. We were only able to hangout a few short hectic days but we came away with a few things.

One they love people and show that love in a real honest way.

Two they are giving or themselves and their stuff.

Lastly they are a community of believers impacting the world around them. I fell in love with the South Side of Pittsburgh during our short visit.

If you want to help them in their efforts to rebuild their shop please contact them or say a prayer. They are the real deal and a ministry we all should get behind. My family was blessed by them this week, probably more than we could have ever blessed them. I hope we will be long lasting friends. I came there a veteran of subculture/outcast ministry and while I may have shed some wisdom I came away humbled and truly blessed. Give them your support and love.

Sorry if you are sick of hearing about this.

For those who do not know:
Our tattoo shop “In The Blood” (Southside) was broken into, robbed, and trashed on Sunday night/Monday morning.

There is over $6000 worth of damage to recover before we can re-open for business.

Check us out on the news:

THANKS SO MUCH TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE GIVEN OF YOUR TIME, MONEY, AND PRAYERS TO SUPPORT US! WE HAVE ALREADY RAISED ABOUT HALF OF WHAT WE NEED TO RE-OPEN!

We still have lots to do to re-open by July 22nd (our goal).

How you can help:

-PRAY.PRAY.PRAY. It’s been a rough month for us (Justun & Danielle’s truck vandelized twice, robbery at gunpoint, and now the shop), please pray for peace, encouragement, and for God to provide for our needs.

-Donate: We still need around $3000 to replace trashed items (supplies, ink, copier, flooring).
Every little bit helps us reach our goal!

-Get tattooed. Once we re-open we will need to make up for lost business.
If you’ve been thinking about getting tattooed, this is a good time! Contact www. myspace. com/inthebloodtattoo and make an appointment!

If you are interested in donating, you can do so through paypal with this e-mail address: melisa_melisa_melisa@yahoo.com

The best way to describe Cornerstone 08 is with the word Revival. This was the most spirit filled week I can remember at the fest since probably 1996-97. The bands stepped it up, the leaders stepped it up and most of all the kids stepped it up. I have been praying for a revival in the underground scene for about 7 years. I have seen the spirit that once defined Christian Hardcore & Punk fade into a quest for rock stardom. It became a spring board for careers instead of a catalyst for change. There was a dead cold heart at the center of the scene and that heart was revived this year. I saw the Gospel preached and I saw kids lives changed. I saw new leaders elevated to positions of great influence and in their eyes I saw fire. My eyes and ears were opened to the very reasons I was so passionate about this scene back when I first experienced it in 1995. The SFHC days were over long ago but a new revival has begun and it is even more spirit filled, honest, humble and perhaps genuine than the first round. Time will tell if it is here to stay and I am no fool to just say it is going to.

Me and my fellow pastors are going to have to step it up and stand behind these bands who are bringing such power back to the scene. Their leadership is vital to sustaining a movement that could change the lives of thousands of kids. Our job is to pray for protection, for discernment, for wisdom and for truth to be preached. We are the leaders and we must lead by example and word.

I am excited but very very cautious. I beleive a new day is dawning but we can not jump the gun. Let us enjoy the mountain before we enter the valley. A storm is coming, God showed me that, and when it hits we must be prepared to weather it. We have seen the power of revival now we must endure the power of spiritual warfare. Attacks are going to come from all angles and unless we understand that we may see a similar end to this as we did to the first SFHC movement.

Stay Strong!
